On our bookshelf: The Float Tank Cure

"To keep the body in good health is a duty...otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear." ~Buddha

That's the beginning of Chapter 4 of the well-known book, The Float Tank Cure, by Shane Stott. Chapter 4 focuses on floating for physical pain relief and improving athletic performance.  Each chapter Shane zeroes in on one of the BIG topics of floating, topics that everyone asks about: physical pain, mental fatigue, anxiety, athletic performance, stress and depression.

We recently received a postcard from him on his book, asking for feedback we had about the quality of the information in there.

I said this to him and I'll say it to you - "if you are new to the floating world or even a float guru, this book breaks everything down into straightforward facts and information.  It's one of the best books out there to learn about floating, and can be read in an afternoon."

The motto of the book explains it perfectly, "Free yourself from stress, anxiety, and pain the natural way."

Shane started out as a floater but now own a float tank manufacturing company.  He's constantly immersed in the latest floating trends, information, and technology... he has to be.  But he found the extraordinary benefits of floating and wanted to share them with the rest of the world.

Like many of us, he hit a wall in his life - fatigue, depression, anxiety, personal and work problems, all the woes that modern society throws at us.  And then he stumbled upon this idea of floating and never looked back.

Our copy of The Float Tank Cure has dog ears all over, notes in the margins, scribbles and is definitely well-loved.  Even after reading it numerous times myself, I still find something new in there.  In 141 pages he's packed a LOT of brilliant info.  It's definitely worth a read, or a glance over while you're at Blue Oceans Float waiting for your float.

Floating isn't the easiest thing to explain to people, you have to try it to know it.  And the more you float, the more benefits you unlock. The far-reaching effects of floating are still being researched, but this book is a PERFECT entry into the wide world that's gaining momentum around the world.

Until next time floaters!
